Recently I
ran out of ideas for a birthday present for a 20 year old girl so I canvassed ideas
from the Wisdom of the Crowd – my smart colleagues.

2. Vouchers - gift cards to favourite
things (iTunes, movie tickets, fashion shops etc), credit cards with limits …

4. Fun toys – Smiggles, Legos etc
5. Experience - The entire house with
cars but no parents, holiday with friends, concerts, theatres …
6. Shop around
in popular gift shops: The ABC Shop (fun gift ideas for all ages), Smiggles (a
cool stationery store), Kenny's Cardiology
(Giftware , Newsagency/Books/Cards), Australian Geographic stores (science and
nature based games and toys)
Here is the ideal one:
“The ideal present is for you to move out and don't forget
to leave the car keys on the kitchen table before you go.”
After consulting with the girl, the
ideal present is: an
un-mortgaged house
My wallet is too shy to give
this present now. Instead, I gave her a
present that will enable her to get her own un-mortgaged
house in the near future: Economics Education.
