QUT’s 2012 scholarship round is open - 20 August - 12 October 2012

QUT’s annual scholarship round is now open.  Applications for a 2013 Higher Degree by Research (PhD, Masters by Research) Scholarship will be accepted between 20 August and 12 October 2012.

Any Masters students who is good and would like to further their study in QUT (http://www.qut.edu.au/), Australia  are welcome to apply.  As the scholarships are very limited, applicants do need to be very good in order to succeed in the scholarship application.   

Alternatively, Chinese students can apply for Scholarship from Chinese Scholarship Council at the end of this year. 

Saudi Arabic students can also apply scholarships from their government. 

Our school welcomes any good students in all areas of computer science, information systems as well as electronic and electrical engineering.   These students can contact me directly if interested: Jinglan Zhang [Jinglan.Zhang@qut.edu.au].  I would be able to point you to relevant staff members.

Students in other areas are all welcome in QUT.  You can search in QUT's staff directory to find potential supervisors.

Qualification  requirements: Current or past Masters students with at least 25% research component or equivalent. 

English Requirements:  

IELTS: overall 6.5  with no sub-score less than 6

TOEFL iBT (Internet based) : overall 90  with no sub-score less than 20

Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) : overall  64  with no sub-score less than 58

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE):  overall  66  with no sub-score less than Borderline

Cambridge English : Proficiency (CPE): C1
